"Ridin' around in John Voit's Car"

My dad had so much fun with Sutton! While they were waiting for us girls to get ready (typical women) Grandpa gave Sutton his second driving lesson (daddy had already given him one of course). Anyone know where the title of this post came from...anybody...anybody???!!!

The Idaho Fair

My Parents and I went to the Idaho State Fair while I was visiting and it was so much fun! It brought back so many memories! Growing up we raised a sheep each summer and sold them at the fair. We spent hours and hours at the fair grounds grooming those darn things and pigging out on fair food. Sutton had fun looking at all the animals but had a little encounter with a cow.

Happy as can be...these cows are cool! Right?

Checkin the cow out

hmm...I don't know about these things...Grandpa don't get me any closer

Then what did Grandpa decide to do???? He touched Sutton's foot to the cow's head and he seriously let out the loudest scream! Not a little whimper...it was a SCREAM! You can kind of see it happen in the picture...haha (wish I had it on video!)

Ok... I don't like these cows! Get me out of here!

After that cow experience I don't know what to think about this goat either...

PIGS..."oink, oink" Sutton said his first word, ok...not really

Fun trip to the fair!

Crawling Monster

So Sutton has been sort of crawling (more like an army crawl) and I managed to get a couple videos. Once it is the real thing he is going to be such a monster!! He will be EVERYWHERE! Lookout mama! He always wants the things he shouldn't have. Like paper, or the other day he found a hair pin, and he crawled to a shoe and tried to put it in his mouth (yes, I know I now need to be EXTRA careful). He is such a crazy little bugger. He is so cute though, he crawls over to my feet now. Daddy, hope you like these :)

This video I was trying to get his attention but his ball was a little more interesting once he finally got it. He is a little wobbly when he tries to do the "real" crawl I think and he tumbles over. It is cute.

Happy little baby

Uncle Seth

Sutton got to see Uncle Seth for a couple days. He loves his uncle. Seth is really good with him so I guess he needs some of his own...get busy...jk. He sung Sutton to sleep with his good (wait...or should I say slightly different) rendition of "go to sleep" lullaby. Last time we were at grandma's and grandpa's house uncle Seth took some really cute pictures which he still hasn't sent me (hint, hint). Seth is going to law school right now so we don't get to see him a lot and is single...ladies :)

And just another picture of Sutton to finish this post...why not

John Deer Boy

When we visited Tim's family all the older kids were driving the John Deer truck and Sutton was jealous. So Grandma gave him a turn.

He wanted a ride in the back too.

He loved his cousins...and the medicine dropper too. What a tubby little cutie in his PJs

Holla!

The Fam

So apparently I am not so good at this blogging thing....oops! I am so behind and have been trying to go in order of events. I still need to post the trip my sister took to Seattle and a couple other things...But since I got an email from Ashley this morning telling me my blogging skills aren't up to par... I guess I will post SOMETHING :) Tim and I went to visit his family last week and my sis in law takes the BEST pictures. We aren't really dressed well in these pics because it was like pulling teeth to get Tim to even take them...but they turned out pretty cute.

I thought both the sepia and the color each turned out so cool and different looking that I am posting both even though they are the same picture.

July 4th

Well I guess I better hurry and post 4th of July since July is over tomorrow. For the 4th Ashley and I bought Sutton and Gage matching red, white, and blue outfits to wear. They looked so cute in them! We were going to take them to a parade but Ash kind of got the city wrong and we ended up at the wrong place :) It was a good laugh. So we went to our favorite local burger joint instead and later went to our friends house out on the lake for fireworks. Sutton slept through them of course.
